- +Tension engine — surfaces resonances, contradictions, and story hooks between every pair of choices
- +Ensemble dynamics — map challenges, strains, affinities, and snares across your cast
- +Character profiles with shareable links
- +Free tier (1 character, 3 layers) · Paid plans from $4/month
New Premium Resources
- +The Character Role Blueprint — a 4×3 matrix of 12 narrative roles organized by Domain (People, Truth, Order, Movement) and Mode (Engage, Hold, Transform), with role-wound combinations, shadow patterns, ensemble dynamics, worked examples, and a guided role profile builder
- +The Core Strengths Blueprint — 30 character strengths across 6 clusters, synthesized from five established strengths frameworks, each with its shadow (the flaw that emerges when pushed too far), wound-strength relationship types, 12 worked archetypes, and arc guidance for how strengths evolve across a story
- +The Dialogue Scene Blueprint — a structured framework for writing dialogue scenes that do more than convey information: subtext layers, power dynamics, emotional beats, and techniques for making every conversation advance character and plot simultaneously
New Free Resources
- +25 Character Catalysts — 25 genre-agnostic catalysts that break a character's status quo, organized across 6 types of disruption (Loss, Revelation, Violation, Pressure, Arrival, Inner Shift). Each includes a dramatic question, what it disrupts, and genre-spanning examples. Bonus frameworks: opposing-pair spectrums, the Revelation Triangle, four structural dimensions, catalyst depth layers, catalyst chains, and the refused catalyst

Loreteller Launches on Notion — 50+ Resources
The first public version of Loreteller goes live as a Notion site with 50+ storytelling and game mastering frameworks. Built from a decade of personal worksheets and research notes.
2012 – 2022
A Decade of Research & Synthesis
Ten years of studying narrative theory, psychology research (HEXACO, Schwartz Values, Moral Foundations Theory), and story structure models (Hero's Journey, Save the Cat, Story Grid, Dramatica). The tools on this site started as internal worksheets for D&D campaigns and novel drafts — systems built to solve real creative problems.
