Terms of Service

1. Overview

Loreteller ("we," "us," "our") is a digital storytelling toolkit available at loreteller.com (the "Site"). By accessing the Site or purchasing the Premium Toolkit, you ("you," "your") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or purchase the Premium Toolkit. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

To access resources on the Site, you must create an account using a valid email address. You authenticate via magic link — no password is stored. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Free Resources

Free resources are available at no cost to any registered user. We may add, remove, or reclassify free resources at any time without notice.

5. Premium Toolkit

The Premium Toolkit is a one-time purchase of $79 USD that grants you lifetime access to all current and future premium resources on the Site. "Lifetime" means for as long as the Site remains operational.

Premium access is tied to your account and is non-transferable.

6. Payment

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. All prices are in USD. You will receive a receipt from Stripe at the email address you provide.

7. Refund Policy

Because the Premium Toolkit grants immediate access to digital content, all sales are final. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that you are requesting immediate access to digital content and waive any applicable right of withdrawal (including the EU 14-day withdrawal right for digital goods).

If you experience a technical issue preventing access to content you've paid for, contact us at [email protected] and we will resolve it.

8. License and Permitted Use

When you purchase the Premium Toolkit, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the frameworks for your own creative projects.

You may:

• Use the frameworks to create novels, screenplays, games, tabletop campaigns, and other creative works
• Use the frameworks in commercial creative works (published novels, paid GM sessions, produced screenplays, etc.)
• Print or save resources for personal reference

You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, or share the frameworks themselves
• Reproduce the frameworks in a competing product or toolkit
• Share your account credentials or premium access with others
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the Site

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including frameworks, text, graphics, and design — is owned by Loreteller and protected by copyright. The underlying research models referenced (HEXACO, Schwartz Values, etc.) remain the intellectual property of their respective creators; our frameworks represent original synthesis and application of those models.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Our frameworks are creative tools, not professional advice. Results depend on how you apply them.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Loreteller shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or the Premium Toolkit. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site or the Premium Toolkit shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Premium Toolkit.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Loreteller harmless from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

13. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, you agree to first attempt to resolve it informally by contacting [email protected]. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Georgia.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes affecting paid users, we will notify you by email.

15. General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Loreteller regarding your use of the Site. Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to do so in the future.
